Lock Upp winner: Munawar Faruqui lifts the trophy after beating Payal Rohatgi in the finale; watch his winning moment
Lock Upp season 1 concludes with Munawar Faruqui lifting the trophy as the first ever winner of the digital reality show.
The first season of Lock Upp concluded with comedian Munawar Faruqui lifting the winner’s trophy. The digital reality show hosted by Kangana Ranaut has attracted a lot of attention in the past two months for holding 20 controversial contestants in a prison run by the actress and her jailor Karan Kundrra .
Munawar emerged the winner after beating Payal Rohatgi , who became the first runner up of the show. The comedian won a shinning trophy, Rs. 20 lakhs, a car and an all paid trip to Italy as the winner.
Among the finalist, Kangana had announced Munawar made it to the top 3 after getting a staggering support from 18 lakh audience members while Payal was picked by the contestants to make it all the way to the top. Anjali Arora , on the other hand, stood third in the finale race of this attyachari khel.
Munawar has remained on of the top contenders throughout the Lock Upp season and earned a solid fan base by putting his real side on display on the show.
Among the top five contestants on the show were Munawar, Payal, Anjali, Shivam Sharma and Azma Fallah with Prince Narula staying by their side as the troublemaker.
While Kangana made it clear on the finale that Price was never really in the running for the trophy as he entered the show as the troublemaker, he earned a web-series with showrunner Ekta Kapoor’s OTT platform ALTBalaji.
With season 1 of Lock Upp concluding, the winner Munawar is reportedly ready for his next reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi season 12. He will be heading to Cape Town, South Africa with the other contestants of the Rohit Shetty hosted show, later this month.
