Lock Upp: Sara Khan talks to Karanvir Bohra about ex-husband Ali Merchant; reveals she wanted to defame him

In a shocking turn of events, DJ Ali Merchant entered Ekta Kapoor’s reality show Lock Upp as the 14th contestant of the season. In Kangana Ranaut ’s celebrity jail, he once again came face to face with his ex wife and fellow ‘prisoner’ Sara Khan. The Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai star was evidently upset with his entry and didn’t show much interest even when Ali tried to talk to her. He told her that it’s been 12 years and that he respects her because she is his ex. Sara, on the other hand, asked him not to talk about things that happened outside and instead start from where they are right now.

Later in a chat with co-contestant Karanvir Bohra , Sara opened up about what had gone wrong between her and Ali. As we all know, the two had tied the knot inside Salman Khan ’s reality show Bigg Boss . Sara alleged that Ali had manipulated her after entering the BB house without her knowledge. She recalled how he convinced her that she was not playing well and her bond with Ashmit Patel was seen in a wrong way. The actress remembered, “He told me that if we get married in the house, it will all be fine. I thought if that’s what it takes then let’s do it. I was very stupid. We came out of the house and he again started cheating on me. Not one, but several women. I thought kahin toh rukega.”

When KV stated that Ali also needs a comeback, Sara replied that he can do so but not on her shoulder. She shared, “It’s been 12 years and everywhere this controversy comes up. It breaks my heart. I don’t want him to crawl on my back and come in front of me like today. Now if he starts talking about the past then I can say so much…things that are still there on my phone. I don’t want to disrespect him. I don’t want to do friendship with him. First I thought I will defame him… but he is not that important.”

The two have zero interest in being friends or rekindling their romance right now. But let’s see what happens as the show progresses. Maybe they will be courteous or maybe Lock Upp will turn into a war zone.
