This survival drama is an adaptation of the 2008 best-selling Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin, which is based on the real-life story of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer. The film follows Najeeb Muhammed, who travels to Saudi Arabia when he is offered a job to make a better living. However, he finds himself trapped by an Arab who forces him to lead a slave-like existence, herding goats in the middle of the desert for many years. The film narrates his struggles and his eventual escape from the control of his Arab employer. Directed by acclaimed director Blessy, Prithviraj Sukumaran has essayed the role of Najeeb in this tragic tale.
