Koffee With Karan 8: Marriage proposals to work schedules, best 5 moments from Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani's episode

After a fun episode with sibling duo Kajol and Rani Mukerji, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani gave insight into their personal lives in the latest episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8. The Lust Stories co-stars opened up about their life post-wedding, their work dynamics and their professional lives during the conversation with host Karan Johar. Here are the best moments from the episode that stole the limelight.

Their ‘Proposal’ stories: Kiara Advani, who married Shershaah star Sidharth Malhotra in February this year, revealed how her man proposed to her. She said that she had joined Sidharth and his family on a trip to Rome and had an intuition that he would propose to her. “He has done this candlelight dinner on top. We go back after dinner. He takes me up for a walk and suddenly a violinist comes out of the bushes playing and sweetly his nephew takes our video from the bushes Sid goes on one knee and proposes. I was so overwhelmed. Then he starts saying the lines of Shershaah. He's like, 'Dilli ka sidha sadha launda hu (I am a simple boy from Delhi) with the full dialogues of Shershaah and I burst out laughing,” she said. Vicky Kaushal, on the other hand, said that he proposed to Katrina a day before the wedding when the guests were about to arrive at the venue. So it was quite private and romantic.

Sidharth Malhotra sulks; Vicky tries reverse psychology with Katrina: Karan revealed that Sidharth is a sulk pot, to which Kiara agreed and added that she mostly has to ‘manao’ him. She also revealed that he has lived alone for more than 10 years so he knows how to handle home. And she has lived with her parents and she hasn’t run a home all by herself. During the shot game, Kiara revealed that Sidharth always gives her silent treatment while she explodes. Vicky said that their fight begins with silent treatment. When Karan asked if they had got code on how to convince their partner, Vicky admitted that he applies reverse psychology with Katrina.

Kiara compares Karan’s age to her parents: In a bid to put her point across as to how Sidharth gets along with her parents, Kiara said that her parents are of same age as Karan, leaving the host embarrassed. “How dare you,” he told Kiara. He further joked that let’s get technical about her parents asked their age. And she replied, “About 58” and Karan said, “I am 51,” Later, Kiara revealed that Sidharth calls his in-laws, Mil and Fil. Kiara again continued that the 50 men feel that they are young, to which Karan said, “She is not stopping.”

Vicky reveals a thing that Katrina does to escape dull parties: When Karan asked Vicky and Kiara about the code word or a look their partners do to escape a dull party, Vicky made an interesting revelation. He said that Katrina has for him but he doesn’t have any. He further revealed that if Katrina is holding his hand, she will press it tightly giving a signal that she wants to leave. He went to imitate the scene which left Kiara and Karan in splits.
