Koffee With Karan 8: 8 times Ananya Panday made a fool of herself on the couch with Sara Ali Khan

In the latest episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8, Ananya Panday shared the couch with Sara Ali Khan. While Sara was quite witty and spontaneous, Ananya had several embarrassing moments during the show. Check out below the moments where Ananya contradicted her statements quite often and sounded less-witty.

“Aashiqui Aisi hoti hai”

Ananya said that one should do what works for oneself while in a relationship. She chose to deny her relationship rumours with Aditya Roy Kapur by tagging themselves as best friends on Koffee With Karan Season 8. Then refused to follow her statement and indulge in fun banters with lines like “Aashiqui aisi hoti hai”, then controlling herself. She then said, “Some things are private and special and should be kept that way.” Then again during the conversation, she herself says “Ananya Coy Kapur”, and also made it quite evident that she has thought her surname to be PARK after marriage to Aditya. She was enjoying playing the “ludo” game after Sara said that she would touch her hamper if she touched hers.

“Who is Orry?”

Ananya said that someone didn’t know him and when she tried to explain to them, Orry told her to say that he is “loved but misunderstood, I think he is going by that now.” Ananya misunderstood Karan’s question and the filmmaker corrected her, “That’s what you call a phenomenon, but not a person.” She tried to explain herself but she again sounded dumb saying, “That was all I was told to say.”

“All I ever worked is for validation”

The actress addressed her struggles in the industry saying that she doesn’t get the love and respect which she deserves. She began by saying, “All I ever worked is for validation, I am my father’s daughter and he is a huge people pleaser. In every aspect of life, I wanted love and respect from people.” She contradicted her statement by mentioning how she did Student of The Year just for being a heroine. “When I started acting I just wanted to be a heroine, wanted to be in your(Karan) movies, that’s all, just dance and sing. Along with journey through films like Gehraiyaan, I have just fallen in love with acting so just I wanna now keep getting better and do good work.” Then during the rapid-fire round, she wants people to break the misconception that she is frivolous. Too many contradictions in a single take, however, she added that work is in progress.

Ananya carries a hairbrush in a handbag just because of Karan Johar?

The Liger actress asked Karan if he laughed at her when she didn’t brush her hair at the airport. She further described the situation that Karan has never let her down with the fact that she didn't brush her hair once. Then Karan justified his statement that there is a difference that for every human being it is important, not that for her that she is in the public eye. Ananya then revealed that she carries a hairbrush in her handbag and she is constantly brushing her hair. Like seriously?

During the conversation, Ananya said that she tries to help Sara and advises her but fails to cope with her unfiltered nature. Karan added that Sara is asleep in this woke world. To which, she gave a lost expression, she went clueless about what just Karan said. Sara and Karan both tried to explain her but still she laughs and end the topic by saying, “I don’t get it.”

During the game, Karan and Sara laughed at Ananya’s percentage score for Sara in several questions. There was a time when Sara directly said, “You didn’t get the game? What is the percentage that Ananya will play the game like a mature adult, zero.” Ananya then got embarrassed and said that she wanted to change her answers.

Sanjeev Kapoor really?

During the rapid-fire segment, Karan reminded Ananya of the last time when she was on the couch she said that she would be with someone who smelled good, had wany hands and gave her butterchicken. He then asked her to name one Indian actor who fit the bill, and Ananya made a fool of herself by taking chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s name, which left Karan as well as Sara in utter shock. Ananya didn’t stop there and tried to justify her answer by saying, “But it sounds like Sanjeev Kapoor.”

“Holding dead cockroach” photo

Karan displayed a photo of Ananya on screen in which she was seen holding a dead cockroach close to her mouth. And she justified saying that she was feeling 'gutsy' on set. It was a cringy sight rather!
