Kapil Sharma gatecrashed Shah Rukh Khan's party at 3 a.m. drunk and wearing boxers, here's how the superstar reacted

Kapil Sharma on his latest Netflix special I Am Not Done Yet got candid about his life story in a way that only he can pull off. The comedian on the show got talking about a certain incident where he gate crashed a party at Shah Rukh Khan ’s house Mannat.

The comedian on his special narrated the whole incident and confessed that while his aim was to show his NRI cousin the Bollywood superstar’s home, he entered the place at 3 am after seeing that there was hustle bustle at the place and was allowed in. Kapil said that that he realized he was misusing his fame but he had already set the ball rolling entering the gates.

“Meri ek cousin aayi thi London se, usne bola Shah Rukh ka ghar dekhna hai. Mere do char laage hue they maine kaha koi baat nahi dikha dete hain. Mein seriously ghar dikhne gaya tha par gaya toh wahan par ek party chal rahi thi, gate khue hue. Ab misue kaise karte ho aap [fame], meina kaha ‘gaadi andar lele’ aur unke security wale ne dekha acha Kapil Sharma haan jayiye, unko laga bulaya hoga (My cousin had come down from London who wanted to Shah Rukh Khan’s home. I was drunk and agreed and on getting there saw there was party and decided to misuse my fame and gate crash. The security saw my face and let me enter think Shah Rukh Khan must have invited me).”

The comedian further admitted that on reaching inside he realized he made a mistake and was ready to turn around when a staff member welcomed him in saying Shah Rukh was inside. “Kapde bhi kya, maine nikar pehni hui hai, aur saath mein Skethers, paan kha raha hoon aur set hoon pura. Maine darwaza khola aur Guri bhabi aur teen chaar saheliyan bethi hui hain. Unko laga ki Shah Rukh Khan ne bulaya hoga. Meine bola helo aur unhone kaha ‘Shah Rukh is inside please’ (I was wearing boxer shots and Sketchers and was chewing pan when a staff member let me in and I saw Gauri Khan sitting with her friends who pointed me in Shah Rukh’s direction).”

Kapil found Shah Rukh dancing inside like he does in movies and he was left baffled. The comedian said he owned up to his mistake immediately on seeing Shah Rukh and said, “Bhai sorry, meri cousin aayi hui hai, usne bola Shah Rukh ka ghar dekhna hai aapka khula that oh main ghus aya (Sorry brother, my cousin wanted to see your house and it was open so I a entered).”

ShahRukh in turn joked “Iska matlab mera bedroom agar khula hoga toh tu ghus aayega? (If my bed room is open you will let yourself in there too?)”

The comedian said that despite gate crashing he stayed the longest at the star’s house and spent three – four hours with him and Shah Rukh even came out to see him off and even clicked pictures of his staff with Kapil.

He further said that it was the encounter that made him realize that there is much more he has left to achieve and realized ‘I am not done yet’.
