Yesterday, the makers of The Great Indian Kapil Show took to social media and made an announcement that almost broke many hearts. For the unversed, the show’s makers took to social media and announced that the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show will be the season’s last episode. As a season finale, the makers have invited the flavour of the season Kartik Aaryan and his mother as the guests on the show.

Ever since the time The Great Indian Kapil Show had got started, even though many liked the show and its new format, there were many who were missing a certain someone on the show. And the certain someone was none other than Sumona Chakravarti, who was always seen playing the role of Kapil Sharma’s wife in the show. But, the reason for her absence in The Great Indian Kapil Show was really felt by many.

Her exclusion from the show had affected her, as per a source-based report in Hindustan Times. The said report stated that Sumona was not only unaffected, but also quite upset about not being included in the show as she had expected that the entire cast would be retained for the digital version of the show, but she did not get any call from Kapil. In addition to that, the said show (the digital version of The Great Indian Kapil Show) saw the inclusion of Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda.

The said report stated that, while it was difficult for her to digest the shock, she had never expected that the jokes made on her dialogue delivery and style would go beyond the show and affect the casting process. In addition to that, during her media interactions, she was always asked about her absence from Kapil Sharma’s show on Netflix.

As for the show The Great Indian Kapil Show, after it had premiered on Netflix, there were mixed reactions from the audiences. The season finale episode of the show will be streamed this week.
