Indian Police Force on OTT: Sidharth Malhotra confirms the release date of the Rohit Shetty directorial

The wait for the first web series in Rohit Shetty's cop universe, Indian Police Force, is over. The series is headlined by Sidharth Malhotra with Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Vivek Oberoi in key roles. Indian Police Force not only marks the OTT debut of Rohit Shetty as a director, but also the OTT debut of Sidharth Malhotra, who will be seen donning the avatar of a cop. 

When will Indian Police Force release on OTT?

While Rohit Shetty had started shooting the show back in 2022 and wrapped it up by early 2023, fans had been waiting to know when they can witness the series unfold on their screens. Well, the wait is over now as Sidharth Malhotra announced the release date of the show on Saturday, which also happens to be the Police Commemoration Day. 

Taking to his Instagram page, the Shershaah actor shared a new poster of the series and said in its caption that the location is clear and the target is locked. "Force Incming! Reporting for #RohitShetty cop universe, armed and prepared to strike!".

Malhotra also revealed that Indian Police Force will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from January 19, 2024. A number of fans commented on the post, expressing their excitement for the show.

Rohit Shetty's cop universe

Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal starrer Singham was the first film in Rohit Shetty's cop universe back in 2011. It expanded with Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba in 2018 and developed further with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi in 2021. Sooryavanshi also had Ajay and Ranveer reprising their respective characters, joining forces with Akshay in the film.

Post that, Rohit Shetty's cop universe found extension in his first digital outing - Indian Police Force, with the addition of Sidharth, Shilpa, and Vivek. The latest additions to Shetty's cop universe include Deepika Padukone as Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya.
