Heeramandi’s Richa Chadha wants to know if her video made you cry!

Last week saw the grand gala release of the prolific filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Heeramandi. Besides the opulence, grandeur and direction, it’s the performances of the cast which have become the talking point of many, after the release of the series. Amongst the many actors whose performances were being talked about, the feisty Richa Chadha is one of them. Her portrayal of Lajjo, who happens to be Mallikajaan's foster daughter, today, took to social media and shared one of the most heart-warming videos.

In the video shared on social media, Richa Chadha showed a sneak peek of what went behind the making of the ‘swan song’! Richa Chadha took to social media and not just posted the video, but also wrote an extremely heartfelt note in that regard.

Richa Chadha wrote, ‘Wanna see what all goes into making a memorable character dancing her swan song with a master - The SLB? 2 hours of hair and makeup … got to work with @tanujadabirmakeup and @ashisbogi for #masoomdilhaimera ! Then the heavy, oh so heavy Anarkali by @rimpleandharpreet! #lajjoheeramandi’.

She added, ‘The cute doggies on set were the best stress busters… you see here me cuddling with the best baby puppers in a break, and our set favourite Bagheera taking a lap ride with Ashis! Some mirror practice of the bhaav, walking to our beautiful set, gearing up for the challenge!!! And afterwards…’.

She, then, wrapped up the almost senti post by saying, ‘The tears are real… so you see Tanuja removing the remains of running mascara from under my eyes… tell me what did you think of that last shot of Lajjo dancing. Be honest, DID IT MAKE YOU CRY?’

Besides Richa Chadha, the series Heeramandi also stars an array of actors including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman and Taha Shah Badussha. While the series has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is being streamed on Netflix.
