Godzilla: King of Monsters spinoff sneak peak shows terrified civilians running away from an unknown Kaiju
The video is from the sets of the show and has a bunch of extras running on a beach as a giant unknown monster emerges from the sea.
The series for AppleTV+ is being shot on Australia's Gold Coast in Queensland, it shows a local beach that's been transformed into Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
We know this thanks to all the Brazilian flags, police vehicles, and military in the video as a new monster appears from the sea.
Undoubtedly we will have to wait a while before we know what exactly it is, as it will be CGI and they will only add it later into production.
This is the second spinoff in Legendary Studios MonterVerse, the first being an anime-style show called Skull Island.
The untitled series will be set after the events of Godzilla Vs Kong and will focus on a family figuring out their connection to the secret organization Monarch.
The series will be a globe-trotting adventure and will focus on different monsters from across the world.
One of the biggest criticisms these movies have had was the focus on poorly written human characters, who felt like filler.
And the fact that this new series will focus on a family is worrying, hopefully the showrunners are listening to the feedback form the fans and get the show right.
The series was co-created by Chris Black (Star Trek: Enterprise) and Matt Fraction (Hawkeye), with the former serving as showrunner.
WandaVision's Matt Shakman will direct the first two episodes and serve as an executive producer.
Meanwhile, the next theatrical installment in the franchise which is rumored to be called Son of Kong is also in production.
It stars Dan stevens in the lead and is directed by Adam Wingard and set to release on March 15, 2024.
