Exclusive: Kunal Kemmu reveals Saif Ali Khan’s reaction to Abhay 3 trailer; says Inaaya hasn’t seen his work yet

Back in 2019, Bollywood actor Kunal Kemmu made a smashing digital debut with his web series Abhay. Helmed by Ken Ghosh, the crime thriller follows the story of a police officer named SP Abhay Pratap Singh who hunts vile monsters and can go to any extent to solve a crime. Kemmu won hearts with his stellar performance and stepped into Abhay’s shoes once again for season 2, which featured super villains portrayed by Ram Kapoor and Chunky Panday amongst others. Well, after a gap of two long years, Kunal is all set to return to our screens with Abhay 3 , which premieres on ZEE5 on 8th April. The trailer was dropped by makers some time back and it left fans super excited to see the actor fight off new monsters.

In an exclusive interview with Desimartini, Kunal revealed his star family’s reaction to the trailer of Abhay 3. He shared, “It was very good! You know, not always do we kind of send each other trailers or like tell each other like you know, my film is coming you have to see it, because you’ve been doing it and it keeps happening every now and then. But it’s very nice when out of the blue if somebody, you know, has seen something and reaches out to you and says this is great. So, that happened with Abhay 3. I remember, Saif saw the trailer and he genuinely loved it and I remember him messaging me. And then when I met him, he brought it up again. So it was very different, because see he’s never, he’s not done that before.”

Kunal went on to explain, “I mean he has seen my work, like he’s seen Lootcase and like we’ve chatted about it but never on the trailer base. Because you know, you miss trailers when they have come out and all that. But that reaction was very good, and you know that compared with the general feedback that the trailer has been getting has been very exciting. And I remember him saying, he’s not seen the first two seasons and he said ‘I liked the trailer so much that I now want to go and see one and two’. So yeah, I mean it’s been a positive reaction from the family and friends and the audiences, you know, unanimously. That's why I'm very much excited about this season.”

When asked if his most adorable family member, daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu has seen any of his films yet, Kunal shared, “She actually just started watching TV time and all that, started a year ago. And she’s still in that animation world and she’s very happy being there. So she hasn’t, to answer your question, she hasn’t seen any of mine or Soha’s (Soha Ali Khan, actress and wife) work on television yet.”
