Exclusive: Babita Phogat on reuniting with her son post Lock Upp, says 'he has started recognizing me now'

The controversial reality show Lock Upp hosted by Kangana Ranaut has been garnering a lot of buzz with each passing day. The latest contestant to exit the show is wrestler-politician Babita Phogat. Despite having a smooth ride on the show, Babita was told by Kangana that she failed to make her presence felt in the same and was thus shown the gates of the lock-up. Now, in an exclusive interview with Desimartini, the wrestler spoke about reuniting with her toddler son.

Speaking on the same, Babita Phogat said, “Right now I’m focusing on spending more time with my family and son. When I came out of the show, my son had completely failed to recognize me so now I’m trying to normalize the same. Now slowly he is realizing that I’m his mother. He was also refusing to come to my lap and I took him with great difficulty. He slowly started smiling and recognizing me when I took a bath and switched on to my house clothes. Now he is going on to understand that Yes, this is my mother who had gone missing.”

Babita Phogat furthermore made a heartwarming confession wherein she revealed that her son has now started drinking milk from his bottle which he used to dislike earlier. The wrestler said that earlier she used to feed her son and that he used to especially miss her during the night. Babita furthermore recalled some fond memories with her son wherein she stated that they used to spend hours with each other on the bed.

The former Commonwealth Games gold medalist added that her son has also formed a close bond with his grandparents. Babita Phogat went on to say that even though it was initially strange for her son to see her outside the show after so many days, now he has started recognizing her and goes on to play with her. Talking about her stint on Lock Upp, Babita was on the bottom two along with Karanvir Bohra wherein she had to, unfortunately, be evicted from the show.
