The upcoming limited series will stream on Hulu and will be set in Chicago during the 1893s World Fair

Based on the highly successful novel by Erik Larson and based on real-life events, the series from Hulu will consist of eight episodes with Keanu Reeves in the lead.
The series is set during the 1893 World Fair in Chicago and follows Daniel Burnham, the mastermind behind the worldwide fair, and his quest to stop the serial killer H.H Holmes.
H.H Holmes is often credited as America's first modern-day serial killer, who has allegedly killed 27 people.
The Holmes case was sensualized due to the fact that he constructed a hotel which came to be known as 'Murder Castle' and allegedly had several trap doors and torture chambers, Holmes would lure tourists into the castle during the world fair and murder them.
The miniseries is still in the early stages of production but we do know the actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who bought the film rights in 2010 and director Martin Scorsese will be serving as executive producers for the show.
Todd Field known for his work on In the Bedroom and Little Children, which were nominated for an astounding eight Academy Award nominations, is set to direct.
The series was stuck in devolvement hell for a long time, with multiple actors, directors, and writers being involved before landing at Hulu.
As a matter of fact, Leonard Dicaprio was set to star in the project before taking on the role of producer.
The series is expected to enter full production in 2023 and we can expect to learn more details about the rest of the cast in the coming months.
Meanwhile, we can see Keanu Reeves can be seen next in the fourth installment of the John Wick franchise, which will release on 24 March 2023.
