Did Kapil Sharma fire Sumona Chakravarti from his comedy show? Here’s the truth

That Kapil Sharma is one of the topmost comic actors in the entertainment arena is something that everyone knows and will abide by. In other words, he can, very rightly be called as the undisputed comic man of the entertainment industry of recent times. Time and again, he has always attributed his success as well as the success of his show to his fellow members, who have been an integral part of his journey.

One such member of his troupe was the extremely talented Sumona Chakravarti, who will now be seen in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, which will be premiering on July 27. Speaking about Sumona Chakravarti, there were many rumours that she was fired from The Great Indian Kapil Show, which just concluded on Netflix. At the same time, let us also tell you that, there was no any kind of confirmation or announcement from either Kapil Sharma or Sumona Chakravarti nor from the OTT major, which was streaming the show.

In a recent interview with News18, Sumona Chakravarti put an end to all the rumours about her being fired from The Great Indian Kapil Show. In the interview, Sumona Chakravarti said that the whole thing (about her being fired from the show) was so weird because a few days ago, there was a very nice article. In which she had spoken to a journalist and had said exactly the opposite thing. This was followed by another publication writing an article which said completely the opposite. She added that she had had nothing to say because she was in Romania.

She also emphasised on the fact that, even though she was a part of a show that ended in July last year, it was never a case wherein she had exited or resigned or had got fired. In the same breath, she clarified that, since they ended in July, they all went ahead (with their respective individual projects). She added that there was no bad blood at all.

Sumona Chakravarti will now be seen in the Rohit Shetty hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
