Earlier this week, Bollywood actresses Sara Ali Khan and Mrunal Thakur jetted off to France for their debut on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival 2023. Yesterday they took social media by storm with their latest looks. While Sara dazzled in a champagne cocktail gown, Mrunal looked graceful yet sexy in a pristine white cut-out ensemble with a feathery long trail custom made by Falguni Shane Peacock. Meanwhile, Bigg Boss OTT star and fashion icon Uorfi Javed enjoyed her own red carpet moment when she stepped out to attend an event in the city.
It seems like her little black dress was heavily inspired by Mrunal’s cut-out designer gown. Uorfi’s ensemble looked like a swimsuit covered in frills with cold shoulder sleeves and matching cloth wrapped around her legs. The Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress completed this unique outfit with gold dangling earrings, sky high black heels and her hair set up in a high bun. Her skin was glowing while her pout was a pretty pink. All in all, the ensemble was out of the box and a few fans even lauded Uorfi for trying something new once again.
However, several trolls showered the comment section below with jokes inspired by her unique little black dress. For instance, one social media user wrote: “Ye akeli hii Cannes Cannes khelti rehti hai...” whereas another netizen joked, “Bahen ji aur kuch nahi mila to ghar k parde h phad k lipat k agayi😂😂😂.” A third comment read: “🙃🙃🙃चमगादड़ के pankh noch नोच कर ye ड्रेस बनाया है isne”, whereas another troll wrote: “Kaunse Chua 🐀 ne iske kapde khutre 😂.” Some were even reminded of Shakti Kapoor’s character Gogo from Andaz Apna Apna. One fan of the movie joked, “Gogo ji apka ghagra😂😂.”
What did you honestly think of Uorfi Javed’s latest creation?
