As we all know by now, after a gap of 5 long years, the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are finally planning to bring back Daya Ben ’s character into the comedy show. Disha Vakani , who originally brought the character to life on-screen, had bid the show adieu to focus on her personal life. Well, in the past few days we heard several times that actress Rakhi Vijan might replace Disha. However, she recently clarified that she has not been approached for TMKOC .
Well, now in a chat with ETimes, Rakhi described the show as iconic and compared it to Hum Paanch . When asked if it would have been challenging for her to step into the shoes of Daya’s character, she replied, “Comedy comes naturally to me. But of course, it will be challenging. However, it won't be very difficult.” She went on to add, “I will have to take a lot of nuances from her style and include mine. I will have to do a good merger. If I do it entirely my way, it might be difficult for the audiences to relate to it.”
