The reality TV show Shark Tank India is one of the popular shows that catered to people of all age groups. Being the Indian franchise of the American show Shark Tank, the show had often faced criticism for not following the original format. Unlike Shark Tank US, the show came across as full of drama and high on emotions to many who criticized the show for maligning the Startup business.

In an old interview with film critic Siddharth Kannan, one of the ‘Sharks’ Anupam Mittal had shut the haters citing Kaun Banega Crorepati as an example who is the Indian version of US show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He said, “Why will you expect the show to be like Shark Tank US. We are Indians, desi, we have different emotions so we will make our kind of show. Take the example of Kaun Banega crorepati, is it like the US show Who Wants to be Millionaire? We are emotional being whatever we do we do with emotions.”
Further, Shaadi.com founder added that a very small percentage of the Indian population who watches the show snobbily rejects the show at first but in the end, the show has successfully won the hearts. Quoted a famous saying ‘First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight and finally win’ he said “finally the show has come to an end and it has been successful.”
