After what seems like a really long wait, Shark Tank India is all set to return to our television screens with the much anticipated season 2. One of the most badass sharks Ashneer Grover has been replaced by CarDekho’s CEO and co-founder Amit Jain. But our excitement is still intact because OG sharks Peyush Bansal , Vineeta Singh , Anupam Mittal , Aman Gupta and Namita Thapar will be returning to the panel once again. Well, ahead of the show’s premiere, some of the sharks recently revealed the strangest places that an idea was pitched to them.
In a chat with Film Companion, Co-Founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics Vineeta revealed that she was once cornered in a public washroom of a hotel when she was washing her hands. The person told her about their business and even asked for her card. Lenskart.com Founder & CEO Peyush also had a similar run in with a fan when he had just landed in Singapore and was using the washroom. The man asked for a selfie and wanted to talk about his business idea. Peyush offered to go out and hear about it, but the man was too impatient and went on to pitch his idea in the washroom itself.
Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com, Anupam joked, “These people attract people in the bathrooms. Mere saath aisa kuchh hua nahi, but I think elevator pitch has actually become literal. I have not taken an elevator ride, I don’t know in how long, without somebody pitching.” Vineeta then reminded him how his car was once chased by someone who wanted to pitch an idea. They were apparently driving next to Anupam’s car while trying to stop him and tell him all about the idea. Hearing this, Peyush revealed that someone actually followed him to his house and then made a pitch standing outside his home.
Well, it’s a good thing that Shark Tank India is coming back. People will once again have a platform to pitch their ideas and won’t have to corner sharks!
