The biggest newsmakers from the television space in 2022 sat down for a chat with Siddharth Kannan and during the show, actors Pratik Sehajpal and Prince Narula revealed the struggles they had to go through even after gaining popularity post their debut.
Pratik whose popularity sky rocketed post his stint on Bigg Boss said that he had to survive on peanut butter and bread four times a day after moving to Mumbai. Pratik recalled how he did MTV Love School and gained a huge following on social media. He then decided to move to Mumbai to explore more opportunities and that’s when the struggle got real.
The Bigg Boss 15 runner up said that he was popular enough to be known by the people in the streets but didn’t have money enough to get a house.
“When I was doing Love school I was in Delhi. I went from there to Goa to shoot for 30 days, came to Bombay and the show aired and got over and my following shot up from 0 to about 180000 followers. When I came to Bombay for the first time I was surviving on peanut butter and bread four times a day because it does not give you money. It can give you recognition, it can give you fame but during that point of time in your life you are in a space where you are neither here nor there,” Pratik said during the interview.
Prince who also gained popularity winning reality shows on MTV agreed with Pratik and added, “I had won two shows, Roadies and Splitsvilla after which I got one room and kitchen apartment in Versova. We were 20 people living in that space. When I got my first daily soap, I didn’t know whether I will find any place at home to sleep after my shift. We would sometimes sleep on the chairs but that was the fun.”
Prince and Pratik were also joined in the conversation by Mr. Faisu, Nakul Mehta, and Munawar Farooqi.
