The final verdict for Indian Idol 13 is here, and the singing reality show winner is Rishi Singh . He took home the victory trophy while Debosmita Roy emerged as the first runner-up. Rishi who hails from Ayodhya also won prize money of Rs 25 lakh and a car.
The show saw stiff competition from the other finalists too which included Bidipta Chakraborty, Sonakshi Kar, Debosmita Roy, Chirag Kotwal, and Shivam Singh from Vadodra. According to a news report in India Today, Rishi Singh expressed his happiness via a statement wherein he said, “I still can’t believe that I won the Indian Idol 13 trophy. The feeling is surreal! It was a dream come true moment for me when my name was announced as the winner of this season. It is a huge honor to be taking ahead the legacy of such a well-loved and prestigious show. I am grateful to the channel, the judges, and the entire team of Indian Idol for giving us such a wonderful platform to showcase our talent. I would also like to extend my gratitude to all my fans and viewers who have always supported me and voted for me to win this coveted title. Thank you for making my dream turn into reality."

While Debosmita Roy became the first runner-up, Chirag Kotwal emerged as the second runner-up. They also won trophies respectively along with a cash of Rs 5 lakh each. Contestants Bidipta Chakraborty and Shivam Singh emerged as the third and fourth runner-ups and received cash of Rs 3 lakh each. However, all the finalists were also felicitated with gift hampers along with a cheque of Rs 1 lakh for their stellar performance on Indian Idol 13.
According to the publication, in an earlier interview, Rishi Singh had said, “Indian Idol brought out a better version of me; from being no one to helping me make myself into someone who people recognize and shower me with so much love - this musical journey has been no less than a roller coaster ride and I am grateful for the same. I will work even harder to make sure I win the trophy not just for me and my family, but for everyone who supported me.” The contestant had established himself as one of the frontrunners of the show and Rani Mukerji had also promised him a song at Yash Raj Films after being impressed with his crooning skills.
