Speculations were rife that Bigg Boss 16 Priyanka Chahar Choudhary grabbed a major opportunity to star in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki . The rumours sparked when show host and superstar Salman Khan asked her to meet after the show. As per the latest update, the reports of Priyanka being part of Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming directorial are baseless and untrue.
Though Priyanka failed to lift the Bigg Boss trophy, her fans were rejoicing at the reports of her joining SRK’s project. Much to their disappointment, a source close to Pinkvilla has rubbished the reports. "Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is not a part of Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki and all the rumors about the same are baseless,” said the source. For the unversed, the Udaariyan actress lost the Bigg Boss winner’s trophy to MC Stan and became the second runner-up.
Earlier, Priyanka reacted to the reports about doing Dunki with SRK. "I don’t have any idea about Shah Rukh Khan sir’s film because I have just come out and haven’t got a chance to speak with anyone. Salman Sir had asked me to meet him after the show that I know but there is nothing more to it as of now. For me both are like Gods,” she had told Etimes.
Talking about Dunki, the fans are eagerly waiting to see Shah Rukh Khan in a different avatar after Pathaan. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu and marks her and SRK’s first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. The film is slated to hit theatres in December 2023.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was also speculated to play a lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 7. But later, her Bigg Boss co-contestant Sumbul Touqueer was locked for the role. Even Nimrit Ahluwalia bagged Love Sex Dhokha 2, and Shalin Bhanot has been offered the lead role in Beqaboo. Well, Priyanka’s fans have to wait a little more to know about her upcoming project.
