Dheeraj Dhoopar on fatherhood: ‘Shah Rukh Khan had said when you become a parent that is the only thing you want’

After winning hearts for 5 long years as Karan Luthra in Kundali Bhagya, actor Dheeraj Dhoopar bid the popular television series adieu a few days ago. In an emotional post, featuring a video of his most loved moments in the show, he thanked his cast, crew and all of his fans for giving him so much love and making his journey memorable. Well, he is now looking forward to parenthood. In April this year, Dheeraj and his wife Vinny Arora announced that they will welcome their first child into the world in August.

In a recent chat with Bollywood Life, Dheeraj expressed his excitement about becoming a father and clarified that his exit from Kundali Bhagya is not a paternity break. In fact, if something great comes along he will dive right back into work. The actor explained, “I am as ready as that. But yes, our due date is in the first week of August and I am crazily looking forward to becoming a father.” Dheeraj went on to add, “I think Shah Rukh (Khan) had only said that when you become a parent, that is the only thing you want to be and you want to be with your child, you don’t want to be anywhere else.”

He’s looking forward to feeling the same way about becoming a father. Well, on the work front, Dheeraj is open to making his debut in reality shows with something like Rohit Shetty ’s Khatron Ke Khiladi or Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. He shared, “They show who I am, and what I am capable of as Dheeraj Dhoopar. So, for sure, I would love to be a part of a reality show.”
