Bigg Boss 17 will crown its winner on January 28, 2024. This season premiered with the theme of ‘Dil, Dimaag and Dum.’ However, it opened to rave reviews from the masses. While some called it boring, others managed to strike a chord with the contestants. But this season did prove to stand out from the rest of the season. Let’s find out how it did so.
Personal lives of the contestants coming into foreplay- This happened to be one of the first seasons wherein a lot of controversies happened due to the personal lives of the contestants coming into the forefront. Be it Munawar Faruqui’s alleged two-timing or Abhishek Kumar and Isha Malviya’s troubled past, no one was spared. Some fans heavily criticized the same.
No proper tasks- Unlike some past seasons, there were no proper tasks conducted in Bigg Boss 17. Barring the torture task that was held recently, we hardly saw the competitive streak in the contestants. This also made many fans label this season to be a boring one.
Bigg Boss being biased- Staying true to the theme, it was found out that Bigg Boss might be biased against some contestants. Some fans alleged that Bigg Boss makers were being biased towards contestants like Munawar Faruqui, Ankita Lokhande, and Mannara Chopra. Well, it is not something that Bigg Boss himself did not warn us about.
No jail- This season also evaporated the concept of the jail. We usually have contestants who broke the rules of the house being sent to jail as punishment. But there was no such stringent punishment in this season.
Marriage woes of the contestants- The relationship of married couple Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain was left in the forefront for everyone to judge. The couple had some ugly fights which led to some heated debates on social media. However, in the end, they managed to resolve their issues.
