In the latest episode of the business reality show Shark Tank India 2 , judges Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal once again locked horns. This time on Sayyam Jain and Sunny Jain’s soap brand pitch. While proposing an individual offer to the brand, Aman Gupta boasted that he is the king on e-commerce sites like Amazon, and Flipkart. Irritated by Aman’s tone of persuasion, Anupam interrupted, "Ye Amazon ka raja waja chodo this is like boasting about yourself." Anupam made a joint offer of Rs 60 lakh for 10 percent equity with Peyush Bansal to the same brand.
Further, Anupam tried to convince the pitcher saying, “If you want a technology like Cureskin, I can help you because I've understood it very well and our business is related to technology." Aman then taunted, “bahot saari companiyaan band bhi ho chuki hai, jo ye kar rahe honge”( Many of the businesses must have shut down which they are working on), which infuriated Anupam. In response, he said, “Ye kya bol rahe ye inko hi nahi pata, bas counter karne ke liye kuch bhi bol rahe” (He himself doesn’t know what he is speaking, just for countering what he is saying).
Aman then retorted, "Haan bhai sahab ko hee sab pata hai, hum toh nadan bande hain, (only he knows everything, we are very naïve, only he is smart)." Anupam hits back at him, "Bakwaas karoge toh yehi realise hoga." Reacting to their heated argument, Amit said, “Main yaha cross fire me phasa hu,” while Namita Thapar said, Waapis se shuru.” However, after a lot of discussions, pitchers sealed the deal with Aman at Rs 60 lakh for 4 percent equity.
Meanwhile, there were other two pitches made on the show, one on remote fetal-maternal monitoring and the other on micro-luxury watch limited edition watches. While Namita sealed the deal with a healthcare brand at Rs 1 crore for 2.5 percent equity, and the third pitcher went without the deal.
