The trailer for the upcoming Netflix show, The Railway Men is finally out now. The show is an ode to the unsung heroes of the horrifying Bhopal Gas tragedy which took place on 2 and 3 December, 1984. It stars R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, and Babil Khan in the lead roles.
Talking about the same, the trailer shows how Bhopal undergoes its worst nightmare when a chemical accident takes place at the Union Carbide. It costs the lives of innumerable innocent people which makes four men come together to save these lives. While some of them are simple railway officials, one is a police officer who risks their own life to save people from facing a brutal death. The trailer also hints that people from the higher authorities did not provide timely help to these men. In one scene, Kay Kay’s character also helplessly says that if nothing is done to save the lives of these people, Bhopal railway station will become a graveyard. Take a look at the trailer.
No sooner was the trailer released than many fans especially those who live in Bhopal and heard tales of that terrible night reacted to the same. One of the fans stated, “I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes after watching this trailer. I don't like to spend money to watch series on OTT platforms. But for this series, I will definitely buy a Netflix subscription. Thank you YRF and Neftfilx for bringing this beautiful series in front of us with a stunning star cast.” Another netizen said, “Being a Bhopali I’ve heard stories of my father and grandparents how they managed to escape that night. I had goosebumps after watching this trailer.” A user went on to say, “I live in Bhopal. My grandfather died during this leak. Probably the biggest man-made disaster in India which destroyed countless families. This trailer made me emotional. How the people survived here itself is a huge milestone.”

The four-episode series has been directed by Shiv Rawail. It also stars Juhi Chawla as a politician. It will be released on November 18, 2023.
