Wednesday
The show since its premiere in November has become a massive success for Netflix and has a worldwide following with a second season rumored to be in the works. The show is a spinoff of the iconic Addams Family and focuses on the adventures of Wednesday Addams.
Despite Netflix's terrible history with reboots and spinoffs, the show was well-reviewed by critics and fans thanks to some amazing performances, especially from Jenna Ortega who plays Wednesday.
According to a report by Variety, the show has surpassed one billion viewing hours in a month becoming only the third series alongside Squid Game and Stranger Things 4.
The show has already overtaken the recent critically acclaimed limited series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story from the NO. 2 spot on the streaming Platform.
Netflix only measures the first four weeks of viewership since a show or movies premiere and considering that Wednesday is already in the second spot in just three weeks, three is a possibility that it could take the top spot currently held by the fourth season of Stranger Things.
Stranger Things has a lead of 352 million streaming hours over Wednesday. It will not be an easy task for Wednesday to overcome Satrnge Things considering the fact that it is a beloved and globally popular show that has four seasons under its belt.
In the series Wednesday Addams is forced to attend Nevermore highschool after she is kicked out of her regular school for attempted murder, as she plots her escape, Wednesday uncovers a sinister conspiracy that connects to a dark chapter in her parent's past and must solve the mystery before it's too late.
The show is currently on Netflix's top ten list in 93 countries. The show is produced by Tim Burton, with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar serving as Executive Producers.
The cast of the show includes Jenna Ortega, Gwendoline Christi, Riki Lindholm, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes, White Emma, Myers Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, and Christina Ricci.
