When the first season of Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives premiered on Netflix two years ago, there were many who trolled it and even wondered why Karan Johar made the show. It followed the lives of Neelam Kothari , Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey and Seema Khan and gave us a sneak peek of what goes inside their lives. Well, recently the second season was released and once again several netizens described it as ‘cringe binge’. Nevertheless, it was trending globally so people were obviously watching it.
Well, in a recent chat with Pinkvilla, actress Neelam opened up about the hate received by her reality show. She was quoted saying, “All I can say is that we have attempted something, and it has been successful. We put ourselves out there and kudos to us. Also, if you make a movie or a serial, you will have lovers and you will have haters. The same concept applies to this show as well. Some will love it, some will hate it.” Fair enough. A very mature way of looking at things.
This season the series dived deeper into Maheep’s issues with Bhavana and also gave us a glimpse of the love that the wives have in their hearts for Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh. The season finale also gave us first row seats to a beautiful ceremony where Bhavana and Chunky Pandey renewed their wedding vows after 24 years of marriage. While their friends had a gala time at the star-studded bash, their daughters Ananya and Rysa were traumatized! Meanwhile, Seema opened up about her separation from Sohail Khan and also met up with Sima Taparia of Indian Matchmaking. Then there was a luxurious all girls trip of course.
All in all, it was an eventful season which even producer Karan Johar described as ‘cringy and bingey’.
