Mohanlal and Mammootty reunite for MT Vasudevan Nair's Netflix anthology series

A new anthology series based on 10 short stories written by veteran Malayalam writer MT Vasudevan Nair, is under production at Netflix with some of the biggest actors and directors from the Malayalam movie industry.

Mohanlal , Mammootty, Fahad Faasil, Asif Ali will play lead roles in short films directed by Priyadarshan, Lijo Jose Pellisary, Santhosh Sivan, Jayraj, and Mahesh Narayanan.

The yet-to-be-titled project will be similar to the recently released Tamil anthology series Navarasa and five of the ten short films have already wrapped up.

The completed projects include the short movies by directors Jayraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shyamaprasad, Priyadarshan, and Rathish Ambat.

Mammootty will be directed by Lijo Jose Pellisary this will be the first time the actor and director are collaborating. Mohanlal will be directed by Priyadarshan in the remake of the 1970 movie Olavum Theeravum.

Indrajith and Aparna Balamurali will be playing the lead in the short film directed by Rathesh Ambat. Narin, and Parvathy Thiruvothu will be the leads in Shyamaprasd's short film titled Kazhcha and Siddique will be playing the lead role in Santhosh Sivan's project.

With five films already completed and the rest in production, it won't be long till Netflix reveals the title of the project.

MT's daughter Aswathy Nair is serving as a creative producer for the project as well as directing a short film in the anthology.
