Lock Upp: Kangana Ranaut reaches out to Shehnaaz Gill to replace Karan Kundrra as the new jailor?

Lock Upp is in its last leg with the semi-finals and finals round the corner. However, Karan Kundrra fans might be disappointed to learn that the actor won’t be seeing the show to its end as the jailor for the show.

Karan Kundrra fresh from his success as a finalist on Bigg Boss 15 picked up Lock Upp hosted by Kangana Ranaut and produced by Ekta Kapoor as the jailor on the show. The digital reality show which has done remarkably well so far, however, might soon see Shehnaaz Gill replace Karan on the show as the new jailor.

The makers of the show have planned this last minute change as Karan has now gotten busy with hosting the reality show Dance Deewane Junior and isn’t able to devote adequate time for Lock Upp. According to a Bollywood Life source, Karan has been a big attraction on the show as the jailor and sees high numbers on days when he makes an appearance.

However, with Karan busy dabbling new projects, the makers need an equally popular face to replace him and it has been reported that talks are on with Shehnaaz Gill to take Karan’s place. While this will be the second time Shehnaaz has been approached by the makers of Lock Upp, reportedly, Kangana who hosts the show has made a special request to the former Bigg Boss contestant to come on board.

While an official announcement is yet to confirm Karan’s replacement, even if Shehnaaz comes on the show, it would be for a rather short duration as the finale of the show is lined up to take place in May.

Contestants on the show are currently fighting to survive the semi finals and only five will compete in the finals for the cash prize and trophy where Kangana picks the winner.
