Latest and Upcoming OTT Releases in January 2024 Week 2: From Di4ries S2, Killer Soup to Role Play

For the upcoming week of the January 2024, the OTT giants have released the new slate of releases which include crime thriller, comedy, romantic docu-series and animated series and movies among others. Netflix

1. Di4ries S2/P2: 9th January 2024

The Italian teen series Di4ries is renewed for its second season in which the protagonists get slightly older. They explore bullying, anxiety and insecurity at that age, and lots more.

2. Break Point S2: 10th January 2024

The tennis docu-series returns with the second season which tracks a compelling group of players from the Australian Open through to the US Open in 2023. The show also takes the viewers behind the curtain, into parts of the players’ lives.

3. Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero: 10th January 2024

The Japanese manga series revolves around a Demon Lord who revives as a child, and visits his enemy Max only to discover that he is a loser now. The two work together to revive their former glory.

4. Sengoku Youko: 10th January 2024

The Japanese series is set in a world which is divided between humans and katawara monsters. Tama, Jinka, and swordsman Shinsuke come together to protect humanity from a plan that aims to transform humans into monsters.

5. The Trust - A Game of Greed: 10th January 2024

This eight-part reality series delves into the theme of greed. It is The new competition series, hosted by Brooke Baldwin, in which 11 strangers pits against each other in a high stakes game of trust.

6. Boy Swallows Universe: 11th January 2024

Written by John Collee, the series which is based on Trent Dalton's best-selling novel, revolves around Eli Bell who is a working-class youth who enters Brisbane's underworld to save his mother from danger.

7. Champion: 11th January 2024

Created by Candice Carty-Williams, the drama series centers around Rapper Bosco who is free from prison and ready for a comeback until his sister Vita steps into the spotlight and puts their family bond to the test.

8. Detective Forst: 11th January 2024

The series revolves around a detective's maverick who teams up with a journalist to solve a series of brutal murders outside the law after his approach to investigating gets him fired.

9. Killer Soup: 11th January 2024

It is an upcoming black comedy thriller about an aspiring yet talentless home chef (Konkana Sen Sharma), who conspires to replace her husband, Prabhakar (Manoj Bajpayee), with her lover, Umesh (also played by Manoj Bajpayee).

10. Sonic Prime S3: 11th January 2024

It is an animated television series based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. The third season will see Sonic teaming up with old enemy Shadow, and racing to save Green Hill Zone from old friend turned new foe Nine.

11. Love Is Blind - Sweden: 12th January 2024

The TV Presenter Jessica Almenäs turns the host for the Swedish version of the Netflix dating series Love is Blind. It is the unique dating experiment as local singles seek true love and propose marriage, all before seeing each other in person.

The Marvel superhero series follows Maya Lopez, theTracksuit Mafia, as she navigates her criminal past, confronting her family and legacy as she returns home.

2. The Legend of Hanuman S3: 12th January 2024

The popular animated series of Lord Hanuman is back with the third season on Disney+Hotstar after two years of gap. The upcoming season focuses on Hanuman as he embarks on a journey to Lanka for an important mission.

1. Journey: 12th January 2024

The Tamil web series is about five lives, five reasons, and only one opportunity. The series will have nine episodes and stars R Sarathkumar, Prasanna, Aari Arujunan, Kalaiyarasan, Divyabharathi, and Kashyap.

1. Criminal Record: 10th January 2024

Set in London, this police drama is premised around two detectives who clash on an old murder case after an anonymous phone call that draws them to it.Created by Paul Rutman, the series stars Cush Jumbo and Peter Capaldi in pivotal roles.

2. Kingdom 3 - The Flame of Fate: 10th January 2024

The third movie of the theatrical movie trilogy, follows Li Xin and Wang Qi as they stand on the battlefield for the first time to fight off an invasion by Zhao. It also follows Ying Zheng's unknown past.

3. Adire: 12th January 2024

The film follows the life of a young female fashion entrepreneur, who has a dark past of being a sex worker and must now contend with its consequences.

4. Lift: 12th January 2024

The official synopsis reads, “A professional thief and his expert crew attempt the ultimate heist: stealing $500 million in gold from a vault on a plane — 40000 feet in the air.”

1. Role Play: 12th January 2024

Directed by Thomas Vincent, the film follows a young married couple whose life turns upside down after secrets are revealed about each other's past.
