Koffee With Karan 8: Neetu Kapoor talks about her ‘strict’ husband Rishi Kapoor, reveals how Raha Kapoor brings ‘rahat’

The latest episode of Koffee With Karan 8 saw the presence of the two OGs of Indian cinema literally. Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman ruled the roost during their time and on the couch, they got nostalgic about the days gone by. Neetu was heard talking about her time spent with her late husband and legendary actor Rishi Kapoor. She also revealed an endearing anecdote about her granddaughter Raha Kapoor.

Talking about the same, when asked about the party culture in the film industry, Neetu told Karan that she hardly used to party till late because she had a very strict mother (Rajee Singh) and a strict boyfriend. The Khel Khel Mein actress said that Rishi Kapoor was quite a strict boyfriend and since she was committed to him at a very young age, he did not like her party till late. She also hinted that he was very possessive as a husband after their marriage. She furthermore recalled that during her husband’s last stage, he opened up to his family more which was also one of the best moments of her life. Neetu said, “He had a lot of love in him. But there was something he never really showed his love. He always kept his distance and bullying people, not showed his love. Especially with me and my children, he was like a big thing. Respect and all and with that he lost out on a lot with his children. He was never a friend to them."

Apart from this, the Jugjugg Jeeyo actress spoke about her granddaughter Raha. She said that her son Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter is so beautiful that she actually justifies her name and brings ‘Rahat’ to their eyes. She also has a fun battle with Alia’s mother Soni Razdan wherein they both want Raha to blurt out ‘Mama’ and ‘Papa’ respectively.

Neetu Kapoor also went on to win the quiz round which was based on her and Zeenat Aman’s movies. She also won the Koffee hamper impressing the jury with her answers. Well, this was one delight of an episode.
