Koffee With Karan 8 Finale: From Karan Johar being roasted by the influencers to Orry's revelations, here are top moments

Koffee With Karan Season 8 has come to an end and the host Karan Johar came up with a showstopping finale on Thursday (January 18, 2024). The filmmaker invited Kusha Kapila, Sumukhi Suresh, Tanmay Bhatt and Danish Sait as jury members and looked back at all the episodes for the awards. Social media sensation Orhan Awatramani aka Orry was invited as a special guest on the show. Here are the interesting moments from the show that managed to entertain.

Orry’s revelations: It has long been a mystery what Orry do, like professionally. And on the finale episode of the show, he revealed that his first job was as a chauffeur in the US. And added that Kajol was once his passenger. He further confessed that film producer Boney Kapoor is the reason why he gained fame. He narrated how Boney flung him in front of the media at a party and said, “ This is Orry. Click his pictures, Ye mera bachcha hai (He is my child).”

Karan Johar got roasted: Social media stars Tanmay Bhat, Kusha Kapila, Sumukhi Suresh and Danish Sait roasted Karan as a joke. Kusha taunted Karan if he was missing his own therapy sessions to shoot KWK, while Tanmay Bhat took a jibe at his guests who have to filter what they say, “If you are going to have these many filters, just call it Filter Coffee with Karan,” he said. Danish Sait called the eighth season of the show a ‘snoozefest’.

Karan reacts to Zoya Akhtar launching star kids: Karan has been the flagbearer of launching star kids over the last few years. Recently, Zoya Akhtar launched Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda in The Archies. During the episode, Karan was asked about how it felt seeing someone else do what he is known for, and he felt that his crown was taken away. Also, he added that he had launched two star kids max in a film, but Zoya even crossed that.

Awards highlights: Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Kajol-Rani Mukerji’s episodes received recognition. Saif Ali Khan emerged as the favourite. A new category called Best Koffee Burns was introduced and Varun Dhawan won it for roasting Karan by calling him,‘Shadiram Ghar Tode’.
