Amid Jawan fever, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Haddi has also managed to grab attention from the audiences. The hard-hitting noir revenge drama received decent reviews from the cinephiles on the micro-blogging site X (formerly known as Twitter). While some users called it a ‘powerful film on a less touched subject’, others hailed Nawazuddin's ‘terrific’ acting.
Directed by Akshat Sharma, the film gives a peek into the life of Haddi, a rookie transgender, portrayed by Nawazuddin, who joins a gang of transgenders. In order to avenge his family who was wronged by a gangster-turned politician essayed by Anurag Kashyap, he climbs up to the top of the criminal chain. “Haddi is intriguing and must be watched for #NawazuddinSiddiqui and #AnuragKashyap whom we need more of he is outstanding and ofcourse for the gory action sequences and a very promising new budding director,” said a Twitter user.
Besides Nawazuddin and Anurag, the film also features talented actors including Ila Arun, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shridhar Dubey, Rajesh Kumar and Vipin Sharma in supporting roles. Reacting to the film, another user commented, “Very powerful show by #NawazuddinSiddiqui in #Haddi #Zeeshan is also very good. #Haddi is a powerful film on a less touched subject, and, not caricaturing transgender. The flip side may be considered in the portrayal of violence, which may not be a necessary truth.”

One of the users also said that Haddi surpassed Nawazuddin’s ruthless roles in Gangs Of Wasseypur and Sacred Games. “What a jaw-dropping performance by @Nawazuddin_S in #Haddi premiering on @ZEE5India. The most ruthless role played by now even surpassed GangsOfWasseypur and SacredGames . Kudos to the whole team of #Haddi. Aur sun "Marti_nahi_main." Another added, “#Haddi Thankfully, the film has some plus points. It doesn’t bore at all, some scenes are well executed and performances are exemplary. @Nawazuddin_S doesn’t look convincing beating baddies twice his size. But otherwise, his acting is terrific.”
#Haddi in start feels like boring and tired but once you watch it for approx. an hour you realise that it's not that bad @anuragkashyap72 shines as a villain
