Ms. Marvel Episode 4 Review - Farhan Akhtar's MCU debut is underwhelming in an otherwise solid episode
Ms.Marvel
Kamala Khan travels to Pakistan to learn more about her past and her new powers
The fourth episode has Kamala Khan and her mother traveling to Pakistan, Kamala still feels guilty over the attack by the Clandestine at her brother's wedding and hopes to find answers from her grandmother.
Compared to last week's episode the new one titled Seeing Red directed by Sharman Obaid-Chinoy is better paced and has a lot of well-choreographed and fun action set pieces.
Farhan Akhtar 's MCU debut finally takes place in this episode, he plays the role of Waleed the leader of the ancient order known as the Red Daggers.
Farhan Akhtar was a huge let down not only was his dialogue delivery lifeless and bland,
It felt like he was just rushing through his lines and just trying to get the job done, while it is true that the actual dialogue given to him isn't exactly Shakespeare, he could have at least put in more of an effort.
He didn't even stand out and felt like a throw-away character, and instead, the episode focused on Kareem played by Aramis Knight while the actor was excellent in the fight sequences his dialogue delivery and accent need work.
Iman Vellani continues to impress but the standout in this episode was Zenobia Shroff who plays Kamala's mother and Samina Ahmad has her grandmother.
They give solid and layered performances and do steal the show a few times.
The villains of the show do not stand out much and feel more like henchmen than a world-ending threat.
The episode ends with Kamala being transported back into the past during the portion of Indian in1947 and sets up the next episode perfectly.
MS. Marvel despite a few issues still continues to be a solid viewing experience from Marvel Studios.
