House of the Dragon Episode 4 Review - manages to capture the intrigue and scheming of Game of Throne

The prequel series continues to impress and regain the the legacy of Game of Thrones that was lost after the last season of the show, in the fourth episode we see a d victories Daemon Targaryen return to Kings Landing and regain his favor with his brother The King.

Meanwhile Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen is still searching for a suitor but rejects all of them as they are either too old or too young.

The performers from the leads continue to impress, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon in the episode as someone despite reclaiming his lost place and power ends up ultimately revealing his self-destructive behavior.

Daemon is by far the most well-written and complex character on the show so far.

Milly Alcock as Princess Rhaenyra is the other standout of the episode, the actress does a great job in showcasing Rhaenyra's naivete as well as her strength.

Emily Carey as Lady Alicent Hightower also has a chance to showcase her acting chops in the episodes, the arc of her and Rhaenyra rekindling their friendship was well executed and believable.

The episode also has the most amount of nudity we have seen in the show so far and but it is nowhere near the levels that Game of Thrones had and this feels like a deliberate choice by the showrunners.

The series continues to be a solid watch and manages to set up the fifth episode by leaving a lot of questions unanswered, and with just six episodes remaining we are sure to get them.
