Originally titled LIC, the film was recently renamed 'LIK - Love Insurance Kompany' after facing objections from Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) regarding the title's similarity to their trademark.

In addition to Pradeep Ranganathan, the film stars Krithi Shetty in the lead female role, with SJ Suryah reportedly playing the antagonist. The versatile actor previously expressed his delight at working with director Vignesh Shivan and praised the Naanum Rowdy Dhaan director for his attention to detail in shaping his role.
On the technical side, Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for the film, and cinematographer Ravi Varman will handle the camera work. The project is produced by Seven Screen Studio.
