The reality show Bigg Boss has always proved to be a winner across all the formats and also all the languages. While in Hindi, it has been the recently concluded Anil Kapoor (Bigg Boss OTT 3), besides having Salman Khan and Karan Johar as its host. There is also Riteish Deshmukh who is seen as the host of Bigg Boss Marathi. In Tamil, it has been the legendary Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR who have been the hosts so far, on individual levels.
Just as when everyone thought that it will be Kamal Haasan who will be hosting the upcoming season of Bigg Boss. But, to everyone’s shock, the actor announced that he will not be hosting the upcoming season. He revealed this on social media.
Kamal Haasan took to social media and addressed the viewers as, ‘With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began 7 years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I'm unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil’.
He added, ‘I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude. Your spirited and passionate support of the contestants is at the core of what makes Bigg Boss Tamil one of the best television reality shows in India’.
He continued, ‘Personally, being your host has been an enriching association, where I have honestly shared my learnings. I will always be grateful for this learning experience. I sincerely thank each one of you and the contestants in the show for our time together’.
He summed up the note stating, that he would like to thank the wonderful team at Vijay TV, as well as every crew member who had been involved in making this enterprise a grand success. He alo added that he was sure that this season would be yet another success.
On the part of the channel, they are yet to announce the name of the new host of Bigg Boss Tamil, who will be filling in the shoes of Kamal Haasan. Watch this space for developments.
