The South Indian film industry has delivered some of the best movies since the start of the year. From Mollywood's consecutive blockbusters like Premalu, Manjummel Boys, and Aavesham to Tollywood's Tillu Square, HanuMan, and Guntur Kaaram, the year has begun with a bang. It's no surprise that movie lovers nationwide are eagerly anticipating new releases from the southern region. Directed by Jana Gana Mana-fame director Dijo Jose Antony, the upcoming comedy drama headlined by Nivin Pauly revolves around a Kerala native who is compelled to move abroad in order to save his life. However, when he realises what is awaiting there for him, his life changes forever. Dhaan Sreenivasan also plays a pivotal role in this comedy drama.

Directed by Jean Paul Lal, the upcoming drama narrates the life of David Padikkal, a Malayalam film superstar played by Tovino Thomas. The film is set to showcase what goes on behind the facade of stardom. Bhavana plays the female lead in this movie.

Directed by Sundar C, the fourth instalment of Aranmanai series starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna revolves around a family who relocates to a haunted bungalow.

This Sai Dhanshika-starrer follows a trial of a woman’s gruesome murder case, the consequences and the path that leads to a notorious drug trafficking scandal. Directed by I. Radhika, the movie also marks Sai Dhanshika's return to Kollywood after a three-year hiatus.

This heartwarming children’s film starring Kaali Venkat follows a young schoolboy who wishes to learn how to ride a bicycle. He rents a bicycle during his summer break to learn how to ride with his friends. The film is backed by actor Sivakarthikeyan’s production house.
