<p>Today (March 21) marks the birthday of the powerhouse of a talent aka Rani Mukerji. On this special occasion, let us take a look at some of her recent versatile filmographies.&nbsp;</p>

This recently released movie is based on true life incidents and shows Rani Mukerji play a mother who takes up a battle against an entire nation for the sake of her children. Even though the movie is taking a little time in gaining a foothold at the box office, Rani's intense and gut-wrenching act has left everyone impressed proving why there is no one like her indeed. 

This 2021 film was a sequel to Rani Mukerji's hit 2005 romantic-comedy film Bunty Aur Babli opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The sequel had her starring opposite Saif Ali Khan and even though the movie was rejected both at the box office and by the masses, nobody could deny that Rani left no stone unturned to deliver the same comic timing and intensity which she had delivered in the original movie. 

Rani Mukerji as the badass and noo-nonsense cop Shivani Shivaji Roy created a sensation in the Mardaani franchise. Not only was her terrific act praised by the masses but both the films did well at the box office too. The first movie came in 2014 and saw her battle a case of young girls being forced into prostitution. While the 2019 movie Mardaani 2 saw the cop hunt down a terrifying rapist and serial killer. It was Rani's irresistible power onscreen which made this franchise such a success and set her apart from all her contemporaries. 

This 2018 movie saw Rani Mukerji play a school teacher with Tourette Syndrome which is a kind of speech disability. Her character takes it upon herself to discipline an entire classroom of rogue students. Her exceptional performance and getting the nuances of her character right without making it caricaturish left both the masses and the critics super impressed. 

This 2012 movie saw Rani Mukerji play a grieving mother who is trying to cope with the loss of her son and also her deteriorating marriage. Rani's vulnerable act and the intense chemistry with Aamir Khan made the movie a delightful watch coupled with the gritty supernatural thriller factor. 

Rani Mukerji's performance in this 2012 comedy film Aiyaa was way ahead of its time and a role that her contemporaries will think twice before taking up. She played a free-spirited woman who gets attracted to a man just by his smell. Her character represented a woman unabashedly taking charge of her fantasies and desires. And who can forget that iconic belly dancing in the song 'Aga Bai' ? 

This 2011 movie was based on the Jessica Lal murder case which shook the entire nation. Rani played a badass and fiery journalist who took it upon herself to bring justice to Jessica's sister Sabrina Lal played by Vidya Balan. The actress left the audiences and the critics speechless with her stupendous performance and that lovely camaraderie with Vidya's character. 

Rani Mukerji's 2009 romantic-comedy film marked her return to movies after a few years of sabbatical. She came back with a vengeance because not only slayed with her performance but also flaunted her super-hot physique after her weight loss. Not to forget her chemistry with Shahid Kapoor was also loved by the masses.
