The makers have confirmed the participation of Uttaran actress Tina Datta in the new season of Bigg Boss.
The makers of Bigg Boss 16 has finally unveiled the promo revealing Tina Datta as one of the contestants. Sharing the promo on the official Instagram page of ColorsTV, the makers wrote, "Durga Maa ke aashirwaad ke saath, kya hogi Tina ki saari ichha poori?" Tina Datta started off her acting career as a child artist in the television show, Sister Nivedita which aired in 1996.
She was part of daily soaps like Khela and Durga before getting a big break with the popular TV show Uttaran alongside Rashmi Desai.
Her role as Ichcha/Meethi gave her much-needed fame and she became a household name.
However, Uttaran, Tina didn’t stop there, she appeared in shows like Karmaphal Daata Shani and Daayan. But later she fizzled out as her project ran for about a year on television.
Not just TV serials, Tina became part of reality shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and Box Cricket League.
On the personal front, Tina was born in Kolkata and belongs to a middle-class Bengali family.
She made headlines for her rumoured marriage with producer boyfriend Mahesh Kumar Jaiswal, known for producing Koi Aane Ko Hai.
She also dated businessman Paresh Mehta. Tina had earlier revealed she was in an abusive relationship with a non-industry guy for five years.
