Bollywood is still bouncing back from the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Several films were announced and ready to release in 2020. But the sudden outbreak killed the enthusiasm around the movies as they finally arrived late in the following years. The audience was excited about Akshay’s new avatar of transgender in Laxmii when the first look dropped in 2019. It was earlier scheduled to release in May 2020, but owing to the Pandemic, the makers had to postpone it to November. Bhuj: The Pride of India

Shahid Kapoor starrer Hindi remake of the Telugu movie of the same name had the same fate. It was originally scheduled for a cinema release in 2020 but was postponed multiple times due to the pandemic. The film was finally theatrically released this year in April.
