Kartik Aaryan's Shehzada might be his much-awaited project among his fans but here are 5 reasons why we feel that the film might not be as successful as his previous hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
The done and dusted saga of remakes
That Shehzada is the official Hindi remake of the blockbuster Allu Arjun film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo works toward its biggest shortcoming. It is true that Kartik's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was also judged a lot for being a sequel to an already hit franchise and later turned out to be a hit but Shehzada failed to hit the mark in all its recently released, trailer, songs, and teasers. Fans are not finding the movie lagging behind to recreate the magnanimity of the original film. So even before the release of the film, the audience is unwilling to give it a chance.Poor advance booking reports
The advance booking reports of Shehzada are rather underwhelming. The advance booking opened just a few days before the release and it has been able to sell tickets only amounting to Rs 40 lakh according to the early estimates. This is extremely meagre as compared to the advance bookings of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which had amassed Rs 5 crore. The movie's advance booking needs a major turnaround to get a decent opening day collection.Early negative reviews
The early reviews for Shehzada recently came in by overseas film critic Umair Sandhu who has gotten his eyes on the movie beforehand. He has given a rather lukewarm response to the film. The film is directed by Rohit Dhawan who is the son of David Dhawan and Sandhu thus called Shehzada a mixture of all the previous David Dhawan movies. He also called Kartik's performance to be strictly average and Kriti being just a showpiece in the same. He only gave a 2.5 rating to the comedy-action film that does not sound like a very good news.Non-catchy songs
Unlike Kartik's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 that also created a positive buzz for its unique and satisfying remake of original songs like the Bhool Bhulaiyaa title track and 'Aami Je Tomar' Shehzada has been receiving an underwhelming response with its songs too. While 'Chedkaaniyan' and 'Munda Sona' were deemed as passable, the track 'Character Dheela 2.0' has been receiving a lot of criticism from fans who loved the original song featuring Salman Khan. It seems not every remake is working out for Kartik.Kartik trying to fit in to the action hero image
Some of the netizens felt that Kartik Aaryan's otherwise romantic, goofy, free-spirited and boy-next-door image in all his previous films is making it difficult for the audience to accept him as a larger-than-life action hero. Many fans felt that the actor lacked that lavish charm and heroism that Allu Arjun had during his action sequences in the original film. Well, this might also result in the audience finding it difficult to strike a chord with the movie. Please Subscribe us OnGoogle News
