In July, Japanese pop star Shinjiro Atae revealed his gay identity during a fan event in Tokyo. Speaking openly to his fans, he shared, "For years, I struggled to accept a part of myself ... But now, after all I have been through, I finally have the courage to open up to you about something."

Noah Schnapp, known for his role in "Stranger Things," publicly came out as gay in a TikTok video shared in January. In a written message overlaid on the video, the 19-year-old actor disclosed that he had "finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years."








In July, Adore Delano, a former contestant on "RuPaul’s Drag Race," publicly came out as transgender. Sharing a video with her vast Instagram following, Delano revealed that she had initially come out as trans during her teenage years but retreated into the closet during her participation in "American Idol" in 2008.

In January, the British actor, widely recognized for his roles as Jamie Tate in "Emmerdale Farm" and Mark Newton in "In From the Side," publicly came out.

The actor, catapulted to fame in 2023 for their role in HBO's highly-praised live-action adaptation of The Last of Us, candidly discussed their fluid gender identity in a January interview with The New York Times, revealing that it has always been a central aspect of their self-discovery.

The Oscar-winning actress and stand-up comic appeared to publicly address her sexual orientation during her April Netflix special, "My Name Is Mo’Nique." While sharing anecdotes about her queer Uncle Tina and exploring the dynamics within her family.

In a March interview on Emily Ratajkowski’s High Low podcast, Diplo candidly discussed his own sexuality. The DJ and producer acknowledged, "I’m sure I’ve gotten a blowjob from a guy before. For sure. 100 percent, yeah," while also noting that he didn't find himself particularly aroused by men.

Ncuti Gatwa, known for his role in 'Sex Education,' publicly embraced his queer identity in an August interview with Elle UK. The actor, who also starred in the hit summer film 'Barbie,' recounted a poignant experience of connecting with 'another queer Rwandan person' at Manchester Pride several years ago. Reflecting on that moment, he shared with the magazine, 'I thought I was the only one in the world.'

Wayne Brady, the host of "Let’s Make a Deal," publicly disclosed his pansexuality in an August interview with People magazine. According to GLAAD, the LGBTQ media advocacy group, pansexuality is defined as having the capacity to form enduring physical, romantic, and/or emotional attractions to any person, regardless of gender identity.

Joe Locke, star of "Heartstopper," portrays an openly gay teenager confronting bullying for his identity in the acclaimed coming-of-age series adapted from Alice Oseman’s graphic novels. However, Locke didn't publicly disclose his own sexuality until August.
