Tollywood Actors Acting Their Age

It is a common phenomenon in the film industry that even the actors in their 50’s take up the role of hero to romance two decades younger female actresses. However, this trend in the Tollywood industry seems to still reside. Yet another actor in his 50's, Rajasekhar is coming up with a film PSV Garuda Vega, however, in this film, he will be seen playing a well-suited role.

The actor will portray the role of an intelligence officer in the flick, which also stars Pooja Kumar as Swathi. Bollywood actress Sunny Leone will be seen in a special number in the flick. Talking about the casting scenario in the industry, the actors like Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Jagapathi Babu, Rajasekhar and Srikanth are now looking for opportunities to act in different genres. They are interested in something different then romancing and dancing around young actresses. Venkatesh revealed that the audience’s mindset is changing now and they cannot do the regular kind of film anymore.

Even actor Srikanth, who has done many successful films as a lead actor in the past, feels that it’s time to move on. While Nagarjuna said that that he is excited to do a role with Nani and he is looking forward to it. Actor Jagapathi Babu had also done different roles. He even played an antagonist in director Boyapati Srinu’s film Legend, which proved to be a turning point for his career, who is one of the most in demand in Telugu films now.
