The song had me in tears: NTR On DSP's Song
NTR starrer Nannaku Prematho has proved to be a success at the box office, despite its long runtime. Devi Sri Prasad has directed the music in the film and has been well appreciated for it. The title song by DSP was a tribute to his late father G. Sathyamurthy and has touched the hearts of music lovers worldwide.
The song opens with the words, “Dearest daddy, Thank you, for writing our stories with your happy pen. For directing our actions towards the rightmost goals, for picturising our lives in the best of colours.. DSP, Sagar, Padmini”. DSP opened up about the film and revealed the character of Rajendra Prasad reminded him of his father. The music director said, “Not only me, but also my mother felt that way. My father died with a smile on his face just as Rajendra Prasad garu dies in the film”.
Actor NTR also spoke about the song and stated, “The song had me in tears. Sathya Murthy garu must have been around DSP when he composed the song”. DSP’s father passed away at the age of 61 due to a heart attack.
