Kamal Haasan to urge Supreme Court to fight for Vishwaroopam
Superstar Kamal Haasan is not at all prepared to get defeated by all the road blockades in his way. Hence, Haasan has decided to take his battle againstVishwaroopamban to the higher level and he is all set to file his petition in Supreme Court today. After the government ban was upheld by Madras High Court yesterday, the actor addressed hundreds of fans and urged them to stay calm, "I am struggling for justice," he said, "don't give in to anger." Kamal Haasan also agreed to drop all offensive scenes which sparked the Muslim protests, "My Muslim family has reached out to me... we have settled amicably."
The big-budget film, has already lost between 30 and 60 crores just because it was not released as per scheduled time in Tamil Nadu, according to Kamal’s brother Chandra. Even Haasan’s house and other properties are at stake and due to this financial pressure he was forced to compromise and re-edit the film.
The film was initially slated to release on January 25 but the state government banned it for two-weeks on January 23. The actor was forced to move the High Court. The High Court ruled that the film cannot release in the state till Wednesday, February 6. According to sources, Kamal Haasan’s supporters strongly believe the whole act of banning the movie is simply a game of politics and nothing else.
