Hopes High With Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu
Tollywood industry is never short of movies. If latest reports are to be believed, over sixteen low budget Telugu movies were released in last three weeks. However, the films were unable to earn as much money as they should have made. Experts cited exams as the reason behind this and said that the movie business is dull as people are busy with their children’ exams.
With Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu releasing this week, the theatres are now looking at it with hope. As per Sunil Narang of Asian Multiplex, “We opened the advance booking and 80 per cent of the shows are completely full. We didn’t expect these openings on the first day of the advance booking”.
The movie is a remake of Tamil film Veeram, although, there are certain changes in the film. At the pre-release function, Pawan said, “We changed the story a bit to suit our Telugu nativity. I never played an elder brother, but in this film, I am playing one”. The film also features Shruti Hassan as the female lead opposite Kalyan.
