Filmmaker Santosh Sivan Praises AR Murugadoss And Mahesh Babu

Filmmaker Santosh Sivan is known to have helmed many movies such as Asoka, Urumi, Ceylon and Aanjaan. Now, Sivan has made his foray into Tollywood with his directorial debut ‘Spyder’. He also collaborated with auteur A R Murugadoss for the second time for the movie.

The two directors previously directed the movie Thupakki, which starred Vijay. Santosh was all praises for Murugadoss. He was quoted as saying, “Murugadoss has a very interesting way of making his films. Spyder has a lot of style quotient attached to it. I hope it appeals to the masses”. The director also praised Mahesh Babu , who has starred in ‘Spyder’.

Sivan said, I actually like Mahesh Babu's subtle, clean acting. You don't have to do much to make him look good on screen. We had a lot of intense schedules during the shooting, but Mahesh always supported the team. He did all his stunts himself. There were a lot of night shoots, and he was very patient and encouraging. And he was the most patient one, helping the other supporting actors on set. It was quite an exciting journey”.
