Simran Bagga to play female lead in Drishyam remake?
Reports are doing rounds that Thulladha Manamum Thullum actress Simran Bagga may team up with Kamal Haasan in the much-speculated remake of Malayalam film, Drishyam. The tinsel town is abuzz with the news that the makers of the remake are keen to cast Simran in the lead role and have also expressed their wish to Haasan.
Though the superstar has given his nod for the casting, it’s not yet clear whether the actress has accepted the proposal or not. In the original film the lead roles were played by Mohanlal and Meena. Earlier Kamal and Simran, who are considered one of the hottest pairs in the film industry, have worked together in Pammal K Sambandham and Panchathanthiram. More than their professional equation, their alleged romantic link-up made it to the headlines several times. All those rumours came to an end when the actress tied the knot with Deepak Bagga in 2003. The maker of original Drishyam, Jeethu Joseph, will reportedly helm the Tamil remake once again.
