Prajin to Play Countryside Boy in His Next
VJ-turned-actor Prajin stunned the Kollywood audience with films like ‘Manal Nagaram’ and ‘Pazhaya Vannarapettai’. However, the actor will be playing an unsophisticated village boy in his next film, titled as ‘Kundrathilae Kumaranuku Kondattam’. The movie will be helmed by debutant director Dhaya.
The director revealed that he wanted to cast actors like Dhanush or Vijay Sethupathi in the film, but it was his mentor Seenu Ramasamy who suggested that Prajin would do justice to the role. Dhaya roped in Prajin and now he is of the same opinion as Seenu was. “He fit like a glove for the character. Prajin was with the team all through the process and he dedicated all his time for the movie,” Dhaya said.
Talking about the film, the debutant director revealed, “The film is the story of a loafer, with a carefree attitude. But his life goes through turmoil when society throws a bundle of problems at him. And his redemption is what Kundrathlile…is all about.” Debutant Tamil actress Riyamika has been cast opposite Prajin. K. Bhagyaraj and Gana Bala will also play a pivotal role in the flick.
